Benefits of the Collective

  • Community.

First and foremost. Grief is hard enough as it is—there is no reason to go at it alone. Being a Front Porch Collective client invites you into a community of like-minded, healing-focused, sarcastic-joke-loving grievers.

  • Conversation.

Griefwork isn’t always crying and being given “homework” for healing. Front Porch Collective believes that healing and finding meaning in life after loss happens both through those cry-it-out sessions as well as productive, engaging, and respectful conversation in sessions and groups.

  • Relationships.

Since griefwork through Front Porch Collective isn’t therapy, we get to use a different playbook. Our approach to grief group sessions *encourages* participants to connect outside of the group. In your next session or group, ask how to be added to the Front Porch Collective private Discord server!

  • Events & Education.

Front Porch Collective not only offers 1:1 and group sessions but also facilitates events all year round. This includes workshops about grief, understanding emotions, and finding meaning after loss as well as events like community coffee hour and our book club, Reading Grievers.

Follow us on Instagram for event announcements and updates, supportive griefy content, and the occasional grief meme.

“I can’t express how grateful I am for the Front Porch Collective grief support group I found after losing my father. From the moment I joined, I was met with warmth and understanding. It’s a truly safe space where I can openly share my feelings without fear of judgment. Being surrounded by others who genuinely understand the pain of loss has been invaluable. The online format made it easy for me to connect from home, and the support and camaraderie have helped me navigate my grief. This group has become a vital part of my healing process, and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of compassion and connection during such a difficult time. Thank you Nicole and fellow attendees!”
